The site required the installation of both underwater and above water prefilled concrete bagwork. The installation was designed to provide a scour repair solution and long term stabilisation of the eroded bank. A continuous layer of underwater prefilled concrete bagwork was first installed to create a robust structural footing, preventing further scour along the embankment. Above this, the above water concrete bagwork was placed to form a structurally stable embankment wall profile. This integrated system delivered immediate structural stability and an aesthetic finish.
